FirmTech rings come in one size that fits up to 5.5 inches (14 cm) erect girth, which FirmTech says covers 95% of men, so most men do not need a size chart at all.

What size erection ring do I need?

For FirmTech rings, one size fits up to 5.5 inches (14 cm) erect girth. The hook-and-loop strap adjusts to your exact size, so there are no sizes to choose between. Measure around the base when erect; if it is 5.5 inches or less, the TechRing, Performance Ring and MaxPR all fit.

How to measure erect girth

  1. 1. When erect, wrap a soft tape measure or a piece of string around the base of the penis.
  2. 2. If using string, mark where it meets and measure it against a ruler.
  3. 3. If the result is 5.5 inches (14 cm) or less, FirmTech rings fit.

Still unsure? FirmTech covers the TechRing with a 30-day risk-free trial, so a man can try the fit at home.

Wearing it right

How tight should an erection ring be?

Snug but not tight. FirmTech says its rings should give firm pressure that is never too tight, which is why every model uses an adjustable hook-and-loop strap. The MaxPR is the deliberate exception in feel: it is slimmer and snugger by design, rated 5 of 5 for tightness, and FirmTech limits its wear to 90 minutes. Remove any ring that feels painful or causes numbness.

For wear-time limits and safety, see erection ring side effects. To pick a model, use the FirmTech ring guide, or return to the overview of wearable ED devices.

How do I measure for an ED ring?

When erect, wrap a soft tape measure or a piece of string around the base of the penis, where the ring will sit. If the measurement is 5.5 inches (14 cm) or less, a FirmTech ring will fit. If you used string, lay it flat against a ruler to read the length.

Is there an ED ring size chart for FirmTech rings?

FirmTech does not use a multi-size chart. Each of its three rings fits up to 5.5 inches of erect girth with adjustable tension, which FirmTech says covers 95% of men. The size chart on this site turns that into a simple check: measure erect girth at the base and compare it with the 5.5 inch limit.

How tight should an erection ring be?

Snug but not tight. FirmTech’s instructions say to fasten the strap snug, and its patented hook-and-loop fit lets the wearer set pressure that is firm but never too tight. As a general rule with any constriction ring, loosen or remove it if it causes pain, numbness or discomfort.

Can I put an erection ring on before an erection?

Yes. FirmTech rings are designed to go on when soft, so they can be put on discreetly ahead of time. Open the loop, place one loop under the testicles and the other around the base of the penis, then adjust for comfort. FirmTech says it takes a few seconds.
